Divorce Homa

5 Apr

Hilarious story from my friend this morning.

Seems like his uncle’s son, a Doctor in England is in the process of getting a divorce from his wife.

So the uncle is getting a “Homa” done so that the divorce proceedings go smoothly. I don’t think my friend will get invited to the “Homa”. Not after he laughed loudly in the man’s face…

I know we have a temple for Visas. Wonder if there’s one for divorces ๐Ÿ˜€

Sorry shouldnt be laughing, as divorce is a serious matter..but a homa for that is el-ridiculous…

Hehe, I can almost see the Homa-classification:

    1. Homa for marriage to work & couple to get back
1.1 If 1 fails, Homa for Div. proceedings to be smooth
1.1.1 If 1.1 fails, Homa for the least disastrous impediment ๐Ÿ˜‰

What the uncle really needs is a dose of Homa Simpson.

Ok, sorry. If only life were that simple.

I thought you were going to write, “homa to prevent the break-up ๐Ÿ˜ฆ “. Anyway. It does make sense. If the British doctors are like Amreekan ones then they have lots of money or atleast the potential to make lots and he may want to prevent the out-flow ๐Ÿ˜‰

homa for divorcee is really laughing stock but certainly not divorces as you rightly said it is a serious matter.

jokes apart, but is it not all about their beliefs? If pooja/homa alone could have resolved all the miseries, there wouldn’t be any misery. Area where we usually fail is the faith and belief. How many pooja events that we haven’t seen the pooja kartha not being attentive on the ritual, and he/she (they) are distracted all the time. Although i see no point in performing such rituals half-heartedly, but hey good for economy.

well, it helps the economy, a homa might cost about 20k to 40k rupees in expense and a cashflow into the market in all sorts from the things required to providing wages to all of the help. as long as they don’t go into debt; and the task gives them the satisfaction and helps them to keep that faith, it is great.

@My3: “homa to prevent the break-up ” – even I started reading this post with the same anticipation, well turned another way ๐Ÿ™‚

Vijay has this eshtyle of writing that keeps the readers aniticipating for something and turns out the other way; keeps the readers’ curiosity till the end of the story. ๐Ÿ™‚

Not surprised about the homa for divorce. If things have gone wrong, one needs luck to get out a relationship without much damage.

Hi – appreciate truly your balance between treating this as a joke and the seriousness involved.

can u pass on the details of the homa? i am in the midst of trying to end a particularly difficult marriage, but the spouse is acting very difficult and refusing to see reason. maybe the homa may have some effect – what’s the harm in trying?
