Highway “Stars” (with apologies to Deep Purple)

22 Dec

I’ve always had a fascination for idiots on the road. Especially those who put themselves and others at risk.

Coming to the office this morning (and NO I was not driving), I saw this guy on a motorbike “pushing” another with his legs. Now its a novel way to help someone but not on the highway and not in the middle lane. It would be ok to do that in the slow lane I guess, but these morons were actually looking to overtake trucks and such…

They should be sent to Jumbo or Gemini Circus!
Neways, nowadays the PETA activists wud cry foul on seeing an elephant or a bear in the circus..These two would do just fine 🙂

Hmm… Maybe next time a clear picture with their faces or their license plates and sent off to Bangalore Mirror to be displayed clearly as Idjits 1 and 2??[:)] What havoc they can cause to the rest of the driving/walking/riding public.

This is like getting two bikes running for the price of one – they effectively cut the price of petrol in half.

    Idiots? Very smart people, likely.

  7. Gururaj December 23, 2008 at 3:04 am #

They don’t deserve any applause but capital punishment only…

@Amreekandesi – I don’t think it’s going to save any fuel for them, The pushing vehicle has to anyways burn more oil to generate enough horsepower to push the other,

But on a funny side – for them definitely saving oil and wasting time 🙂

I have seen this many times, but it was an autowalla pushing an auto with his legs.

  9. mumukshu December 23, 2008 at 5:43 pm #

Assuming they both had their engines running, whose speed were they travelling at? The 1st or the 2nd? And if the 2nd was ‘pushing’ the 1st, why did 1st have his engine running? What a waste of fuel. OK, I am really pursuing a ‘wasteful’ line of questioning!

    wish you the same, buddy!

us indians, we so big hearted, we celebrate all religious festivals yet the world fails to understand our tolerance. look what happens in good ole usa! (vijay, i wonder what arundhati roy would have come up with if this had happened in india)

hey, that catch off hauritz that smith caught – did you see the difference between smith’s behaviour vs. that of punter’s last year? if anything, punter’s catch was “iffier!”
