Chappell in Charge and other cricket WTF’s

22 Oct

The Chappell magic seems to be working for Australia. Anything he touches seems to turn into “fools gold”.

After single handedly demolishing the Indian team, Chappell is now doing the same with the Aussies. Its bad Karma.

In other Cricket news, Vijay Mallya the owner of the Royally Challenged IPL team met with the owners of the Deccan (Dis)Chargers to see if they can cut costs by collaborating with each other (just like Kingfisher and Jet Airways). “The idea is to use each other’s assets” he said. As I type this, they are still trying to identify “Assets”.

Neo Cricket’s highlights are great, but do they need Mohinder Amarnath to suddenly appear and make a summary??? Someone needs to tell him to get rid of the “wooden” expression. Or maybe they have told him hes on Radio?

IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi is now a brand ambassador for something. I dont remember what.. was busy laughing at the very notion…

    That is “The Chappel Way”

    With Mohinder you can choose your poison. You can have him give his wooden analysis or you can have him sing for you. But “entertain” he must – the show must go on.
    I am convinced one of these days he will fall asleep in the middle of his analysis. Waiting for this to happen is what keeps me glued to the TV!

    You should do a best 11 & worst 11 list of cricket analysts/commentators. Of course you struggle with 11 for the former.

    Now Chappell will start sending SMSs and E-mails to the News Reporters and Journalists! Already there is a rift between Ponting and Lee..Was Chappell involved in that as well! HEHE 🙂
    Hope he stays on with the Aussie team till the series ends..Jai Chappell!

    @yesh: aaah yes..with his squeaky voice 😀
    @MP: Good idea….can I include Mandira Bedi in the analysis
    @Cuckoo: Thanks 🙂
    @Harsha: Its interesting isnt it? or is it a coincidence…Arun Lal and Siva.. you are right how could I forget..maybe as MP suggested a post about the worst and the very bad…
    @govind: I think its a plot by the BCCI to bring Australian Cricket down…Did not know that Himesh was endorsing Tata…one with a squeaky voice and the other with a nasal tone… cool

    I insist that you leave Mandira Bedi out. 🙂

    I agree… There is no need for Amarnath to appear from no where…
    Can’t imagine watching ads involving Lalit Modi with his poor dressing style every other over of a cricket match. The brand that selected him as their ambassador should get a life and spare ours.
    Nice post with optimum sarcasm.
