Sale, Sale, Sale – People, People, People

16 Jan

Scenes from a 50% off sale of shoes by Nike. Who says we don’t like a good deal. Yes I was there buying Nikhil a new pair (cheapskate that I am).

Was witness to a couple of arguments where two people wanted the same shoes. The parents were arguing. The children were smiling at each other.

Reminds me of the after-Thanksgiving sales in the US, where they used to sell DVD players for $5 at Walmart. People would get into shoving matches and the cops would get called. This seems to have been more orderly. 🙂

yes. i too got a pair of nike shoes. u are a better parent than my mum. she has ORDERED me not to take them to mysooru for a few months. even though a lot of reasoning and quarreling went into it.

why are parents like this??!! is there any logic behind such restrictions(i think not).

the parents should’ve had their bhutias run against each other – a fifty-metre sprint within the store, if you will, not a bengalooru-chennai marathon – with the winner getting those shoes.
