What the ….?

10 Aug

Looking to close out the week with news items that made me go “What the ….”

1. Haneef asking to be a honorary citizen of Australia. Looks like our friend rather be treated like dirt in Oz than live here…

2. Already our First Lady’s first man is making news… looks like hes going to spend more taxpayer money in the first month than Prez Kalam did over the last 5 years…

3. Sanjay Dutt’s sister visiting Sonia looking for mercy for her brother… do you think the other 100 people convicted will visit her as well… Its amazing to see all the bollywood folks acting all prim and proper and being “shocked and shaken” at the conviction… oh I forgot they are all actors 😉

And last week a lot of TV channels were trying to draw a parallel between the Sanjay Dutt case and the Salman Khan case….how ridiculous!! And there was a debate where Maneka Gandhi was lecturing on why Salman Khan and the others should be jailed for life, while the bollywood director Vivek Vaswani on the other side retaliated by asking why the criminal politicians should not be jailed…… I think we could do without both the actors and the politicians!! And as far as Sanjay Dutt’s future in case he completes his jail term is concerned, you bet he is going to enter politics…afterall politics is the last resort for “………………”!!!( you fill up the blank ).

As you said they are trying to make a martyr out of Sanjay Dutt. Yes, he deserves to be punished. But as Bachi Karkaria said in her column, Dutt was a scapegoat, perhaps. and that the drama was more on what took place outside the courtroom — was he really married to xyz, what was priya dutt doing, etc. What was more disgusting was one of the hindi channels trying to get his daughter to tell the media that she loves her dad in hindi. Ridiculous.
I guess sometime soon, the phrase Vinasha kaale vipareetha buddhi will hold true for the Indian media.

media and bollywood are making a hype it is very unfortunate
let him take the legal battle. when the crime is proved how anybody can
imagine there will not be sentence.
In this case kudos the Judge of the Special Court he had done a wonderful
job such a marathan case and so many convictions.
    long live judiciary and democracy

haneef case is another hype if he innocent let him prove beyond any doubt and come
clean even before that our CM offers him a job what a mockery of democracy
all for wooing voters from a community let them stop all these drama and concentrate
    on development of state.

yes now rashtrapathi bhavan will be controlled by two way one be congress on decisions and and on all other matters by Mr.president (first lady’s first man as vijay put it

    🙂

Sanjay Dutt : If he has to be arrested, for illegally posessing the guns, there are many other politicians/businessmen who needs to go behind the bars.

Haneef : there was a report in the newspaper as to there are numerous people imprisoned in our jails just on mere doubt and are awaiting trial. Is the respective state governments getting them a job on their release , if and when they get released?

regarding Pratibha Patil, this did not come as a surprise, for she was the congress candidate!! they wanted a rubber stamp in real sense. After Giani Zail Singh, it is Ms Pratibha Patel.

@Ramesh: His life story will be a Bollywood hit…
@Su:The News Channels make a drama out of everything..
@Pranesh: I wonder if our CM actually went and visited him or it was only lip service
@Chitra: If they belong to a vote bank then anything is possible even minister “giri” on release
