Law is Equal?

27 Mar

I love this.

A clerk in the Registrars office is caught accepting a bribe of Rs. 500 and is suspended from service. No Salary.

Vijay Times reports that Congress Leader D.K.S is going to be charged with a “Criminal Case” of not disclosing assets worth Crores. The fine for that. Simple Imprisonment and a 500 rupee fine.

Kya justice hai !!!

We are following a rule book that was written at a time when the scenario was totally different. CRORES was not in the dictionary probably, and people were not getting dollar opportunities.

Today, Lakhs are just not enough forget about 500/-

when the credit card guys charges something, they say it this way 200/- or 5% of the amount which ever is higher.
Why can’t our govt do some simple things like this ? Gosh!

Hopefully this should be just to intiate the process & of course the punishment should have some proportionality forget about exponential atleast somewhere one-to-one!

Clue : Vijay, This is an easy way to save all your lakhs of tax that you pay every year! Think it over… 🙂

Our system can only target the small fish,But how do you catch the sharks?!!!

You have touched a raw nerve here.

Even after narasimha rao was found guilty, he could not be touched by the judiciary as he “enjoyed immunity under parilment act”.

Even though santosh hegde is catching small fishes, venkatachalas fishes are yet to be fried – they were only caught. The govt does not heap cases on them. Its just hoghwash about getting caught. After susspension of 5 months,he gets transferred and continues the good work.

To beat this sytem, we need to physically beat up and break a leg, a toe and eye otherwise these people just ignore and survive.

I read a Russian proverb a long time ago; it probably exists in some form or the other in other cultures as well: Laws are like spider webs, on which the small flies get caught, while the larger ones escape!

Vijay, Last week I had been to sub-register office for sone of my personal work. The lady there asked me to come by evening 5pm so that I could collect my needed docs. I went again at 5pm and met with the same lady. She was pretty courteous and I got a feeling that she didn’t understand english. Anyway, she handed over all my docs. I was about to return back and then said, Nodi nim kelsa na bega maadidini. Enadru kodi antha. I was actaully taken back. I said ,”Sorry”. Realising she didn’t understand english, i asked “Enu madam” antha. She said bellge inda nimde kelsa maadirodu. Nim kushi enadru kodi antha. I said ayyo kanditha illa madam. Thanks antha helbittu bande. And then my family said ayyo next time ninu mathe hodre, ninge enu help madalla antha. So i said hod kalakke nodkollana antha. May be me paying 100 or 200rs wouldn’t have been a big deal. However, the way they ask you annoys and irritates you.

    Just thought of sharing this.

This is too sad, but comparitively better! 🙂 I have heard men at govt office are more arrogant & they will shout at you if you press them too much to get your work done!
this lady has done the work & asked 🙂

Vijay, I like your blog because it will have variety.. right from nikhil’s holiday planning to shilpa sheety boo.. inbetween continuously rants about system, people etc.,
does this do any value add ? just a retrospect.
When you right about folks like krishnappa, it makes one feel good that we still have people who do good deeds & those system + their ineffenciencies already the other media are providing.. yes, of course its your blog you are free to choose… just a reader’s feel ashTe 🙂
