Justice Served

I still remember feeling “numb” when IOC employee Manjunath was murdered in 2005 for doing his duty. I didn’t know the man, but seeing his parents and the anguish they were going through was enough.

The murderers have been brought to justice. One got the death penalty and all the rest got life.

Now the appeals process starts…. sigh !!!

Just to prove my point on the long and winding road of justice, theres another news clip today about 3 people being convicted of the 1984 riots in Delhi.

Just 3 People???? Are they joking? An entire community was targetted and all they can do after 20+ years is convict 3 people?

  1. His dad was telling that he was happy for the justice at the end but would be more good if everybody gets a death penalty.

Its great .. atleast it didn’t go like 20 years & by the time the culprit is dead by himself. It was a great loss to anyway, his ideas & his selfless service was worth more than all techies..
Wonder whether this murder episode will make the other people even think in those lines, now it sounds even more danger!!

  2. Thanks for such a verdict in such a short span of time (short in the context of courts cases) all concerned needs to be complimented for completing the trial and judgement delivered within 2 years plus. really great considering our judicial system and that too it happened in UP really happy and so it indicated still good things do happen.
It is nice to read that all accused are found guildy and one sentence is dealth and for all others life term. The efforts of Public Prosecutor and other advocates who fought for this needs to be commended.
If this opens up a thinking in the minds of wrong doers it is great.
manjunath you are great so also your family. let them have good life and do lot
of good things in your name thro your trust which will enlighten general public

  3. Thank God! At least one got justice in this country.

My heart bleeds if I think of that incident, of cource, feels a high pride for that person who did the ultimate sacrifice for the sake of SATYA.

    May God bless Manjunath.

  4. Aren’t we all used to travesty of justice by now? What’s the point in hollering? And now, more recently after the Nandigram episode, I wonder if we’re a democracy after all?
