Why do we get so emotional?

19 Mar

India lost to Bangladesh. It was because they played better than our guys. They wanted it more. Our fat assed cricketers are all set for life. Why work hard?

The backlash of this is what I cannot understand. Effigies have been burnt. The Internet is strewn with comments on Sehwag and every member of his family. There have been protests outside Dhoni’s house.

Why do we get so emotional? We lost we lost. Lets bitch and moan and move on. Why do we have to go to extremes?

Yes, our people generally get straight away into such riots…
It has become like .. ‘India soltu galaaTe shuru aagatte ‘ vis-a-vis ‘Kaveri verdict’ or ‘babri mazjid’..

the indian team is in a no-win situation now. if they lose to sri lanka, everyone will say we knew it anyway. if they win, everyone will think that we bought them off! 🙂

the uthappa i saw did not have a fat ass. and neither was he set for life (as far as i know, unless he is engaged to deepika padukone or sneha ullal, who can take care of him :-). why did he play that shot? and where is ramesh powar? why was he not in the (world cup) team?

Being depressed about the loss of your team is one thing; but resorting to hooliganism to vent your ire is not on. It’s crass and savage to indulge in destruction of property etc.

better team won on that day bangladesh outplayed india in all
departments of the game and dravid rightly said they deserved the win
people get emotional because they cast so much expectations and importance
and they get disappointed and some miscreents will take into these sorts
of protests threat to family destruction of their property etc.,
It is not good for Indian Cricket. we must learn to be patient and expect team
to perfom better rather than these sorts of things.
I think after couple of years all these underdogs to day will rule the cricket
and so called cricketing nations (test playing now) may be vying for qualifying
    rounds.
