Who are these people?

3 Jan

Ok, so Saddam is gone. Our commie comrades took to the streets here protesting and burning effigies. Fat lot of good that does other than be an annoyance to normal people.

I remember recently people dancing on the street “celebrating” Sonia Gandhi’s birthday and some time ago people beating their chests and wailing when she refused to become the PM (sic).

This sets me thinking. I watch all these people who “celebrate” birthdays of political leaders, protest when they are arrested, and take to the street when something happens in a faraway land. Who ARE these guys? What do they gain by doing it? Are they contenders for party tickets? Minesterial berths? or are they just placemats who are paid to do stuff?

Do they get up in the morning and say to themselves “Its going to be a busy day today, I need to attend this protest rally, then go over to attend that celebration rally… what should I wear, which effigy should I carry?”

Who ARE these people? What drives them?

P.S: I think the “process” is underway to ensure that the BJP does not come to power. This guy Zameer Ahmed has quit the ministry (maybe it will lead to a so called split). The “conspiracy theorist” in me smells a rat.

    Vijay,

Definitely paid goons. I had been to the friendly neighborhood vegetable seller couple of days ago, and he was recruiting a flower seller for canvassing for the upcoming corporation polls. He was extremely candid about it, he told the flower seller that he would be paid Rs 100 a day, along with good food and lots of booze.

BJP was the single largest party last elections. People wanted a change, and were tired of the Congress-JDS Combine.

Had BJP waited, they would have got the required majority next time at least, but they were hasty and now have spoilt their future.

Vani: Eye witness account from you… My only question is dont the so called netas know that all these processions that are meant for them are staged? Swalpa nu mana maryade illa

Vani is true 100%. BJP has no future until the goons are paid in hefty by the combo of Cong and JDS. Also, BJP has a never ending problem of in fighting. That;ll end the story.

Thus, the state has no future from the political view point.

What reflects at grass rootes get amplified at central level. All the politicians know about these tactics and anyone not indulging in these will not win!!

Till democracy is uncontrolled, this is the fate of every country following older versions of democracy.

    mohan!

    Vijay,
Hang on your attitude for “film nodolla”…. 80% of the movies are not worth their names! At least you should have an option to get out of the theatre. Selected good movies can be watched at leisure.

Its true that scenery outside the bus is as important as the destination but what to do when the scenery outside is not interesting right?

But people who miss out the biz buzz suffer a lot due to lack of understanding, planning or simple “i dont understand”

As the famous english saying goes “its all about money, honey”
