The Brat Pack – An American Perspective

2 Nov

So my colleague Todd from the USA is here on a business visit. Being an ex newspaper guy he reads the local news with a lot of interest.

One story that has caught his attention this time is about our own CM’s “putra ratna”. So much so that he cannot wait to get up every morning and read what kind of new twist is being given to the story.

He also tells me that compared to this, news at home is bland. Considering that he lives in Los Angeles, that is indeed saying a lot. He has promised to write up his own “analysis” as an impartial observer (he is not a JDS, Cong or a BJP supporter) and send it to me so I can post it on this blog.

Lets see what he writes…

“Pupil shoots dead 6 in rampage”… “Dick Cheney’s gun misfires”… “We will never leave Iraq: Bush”

I always thought American press has more juicy stuff to offer! BTW, I am great fan of Bush’s antics 😉

RK, so am I… he is not trying to compare the stories and say this is good and this is bad.. what he is interested in is the “sequence” of events…

By the way congrats on the TOI article…
