Terris recent post begs a question…”Do Indian men scratch their crotch?”..
It also begs another question.. “Do I have nothing better to do in terms of topics?”
..the answer to both questions is “Well..maybe..okay no”
..on further observation, the answer is a resounding Yessss !!! we do..some foreign peepalz also saying their countrymen doing scratches…even Homer Simpson..
I asked several of my demented pals the question.. why???
All of them freed up their hands and and sent in the answers…
Some answers (lot of editing has happened)…
1. Because its there
2. Just to make sure.. its there
3. What else to do?
4. It was outsourced to us…
5. We are between jobs
6. Underwear too tight
7. Waiting for accident to happen…see Terris post (link above)…
8. Give us something else to scratch
9. We are practicing shining the new ball..never know when we will get called up to the cricket team
10. You mean we can use our left hand for something else??…

Vijay, waaaaaay too funny, but I’m still not buying.
Er … if we ever meet, I hope you will not be offended if I fold my hands and do a polite namaste instead of shaking hands.

Vijay,
For any person not familar with cricket’s innate spit-shine technique, and given the very nature of your post, they may end up picturizing something else !

I think the habit was started by the English, who believed that if they played with it often enough it would grow.
