1. The Sugar factory she owned did not owe any dues to the Unions. Only the workers and investors were shafted.
2. She once had a relative who had a friend who was married to a Bengali.
3. She has better hairstyle than Kalam.
4. She already had all her rubber stamps ready.
5. Her questions will be simpler than Kalam’s. (Have you had Lunch, Dinner? etc)
6. They think shes related to Sandeep Patil
7. Supporting the other Patil (Shivraj) would have made the Home Ministry more efficient. They don’t want that.
8. Sharad Pawar threatened to appoint her Cricket Coach if they didn’t support her for president.
9. Shekawat is 300 years old, Kalam is intelligent.
10. Now they can remote control 2 people. The PM and the President.
P.S: I believe that there are better women candidates who deserve to be president. Kiran Bedi? Sushma Swaraj?

“Kalam is intelligent”
Absolutely. Look at his ideas for a research project in Systems Engineering:
“Information Security in the Internet Concerning the Defence Field”
“Making the Most Modern Electronic Techniques Available Today to Villagers”
“How to Prevent Ageing”
“How to Transfer Data from Brain to Brain”
“Curing Mentally Retarded Children”

LOL @ 2, 3 and 5…especially 2…I bet that’s the REAL reason, just like Shiv Sena
I do agree there are better women candidates. Sushma Swaraj ..sure….but IMO the best option would have been Dr. Najma Heptullah.

Kiran Bedi can not be considered for the prez post at any cost. She is not a role model of so called traditional Indian womanhood. She does not fit in the system as she is not timid, docile and accommodative, which our politicians consider cardinal virtues of womanhood . Sushma is out of counting cos of her hyper active nature .There will be no chance for any other person to open his mouth except for devouring as the Q word would be banned on Raisina hill residence.. Medha Patkar another person of substance is a born rebel. How can one expect her to sign on dotted line even in bath room. So Pratibha is an ideal choice for professional politicians who are happy to find the reflection of their own cherished values in her.

HSR: Great analysis.. looks like our politicians have their own definition of womanhood.. shows clearly that they are living in the past….
